Please be advised that work will begin on the Yarra River crossing for the Alphington Sewer Project due to start early to mid January 2015. This work will affect paddlers by reducing the width of the river by half at the construction site (downstream of Zoli straight). Melbourne Water has indicated that the river will be open to all canoe and kayak users throughout the works which are planned to be completed by April 2015.
