Volunteer Call-Out – Paddle Australia Long Distance Championships & GP1 Nagambie, November 2025

We’re gearing up for the Paddle Australia Long Distance Championships & Grand Prix 1 at Nagambie Lakes Regatta Centre from 28–30 November 2025, and we’re looking for volunteers to help bring this event to life!Whether you can spare a few hours or a couple of days, your support will make a huge difference.

Volunteer roles & dates

We’re seeking helpers across the following periods:

Dates Tasks
Wed 26 – Thu 27 Nov Pre-event set-up
Fri 28 – Sun 30 Nov Event support (on-ground operations, assisting athletes/schools, general help)
Sun 30 Nov – Mon 1 Dec Pack-down

No Experience Needed, Just bring a positive attitude and willingness to pitch in.

Paddle Australia Long Distance Championships & Grand Prix 1 Nagambie 2025

? Nagambie Lakes Regatta Centre, VIC
? Friday 28 – Sunday 30 November 2025. The national sprint season kicks off at beautiful Nagambie Lakes! Join athletes, schools, masters, and families from across the country for three days of competition, community, and fun on the water.

Paddlers can enter one event or as many as on offer, the choice is yours!

Reduced Entry Fees for 2025 – We’ve simplified and lowered fees to make LD Championships / GP1 more accessible to all paddlers:
$35.00 registration fee
$15.00 per event entered
Entry Fee Cap: maximum fees have been reduced for senior athletes – $200.00, juniors – $95.00, masters – $95.00 maximum

Schools Relay & All Abilities Race – Two new community events join the GP1 lineup

  • Schools Relay Race: Team-based racing for school groups, showcasing teamwork and participation
  • All Abilities Race: A fun and inclusive opportunity for paddlers of all abilities to take part in the action.
    Both will run on Sunday, bringing fresh energy and community spirit to the regatta.

? Masters Racing: Bigger & Better – If you’ve been thinking about getting back on the start line, this is your year!
This year we’re putting a strong focus on Masters participation with:

  • Updated age groups
  • ICF and General Class racing
  • Affordable capped entry fees
  • A welcoming, competitive environment for new and returning paddlers

GP1 features head-to-head racing from our National High Performance Squads as they prepare for the 2026 international season.
A perfect chance to be inspired, learn from the best, and cheer them on.

Vendor Call-Out – We’re inviting vendors to join us on-site!
Several are already confirmed – a great opportunity to showcase your products to Australia’s sprint paddling community.
