Message from the Chandler Highway Upgrade project team
We’re about to start lifting the new Chandler Highway bridge beams into place – a significant milestone for this project. To complete these works safely, we will be doing them overnight meaning there are some upcoming night closures of Chandler Highway.
When will the road closures take place?
Sunday 25 March - Wednesday 29 March from 7.30pm–5.30am
No road closures over the Easter break.
Thursday 5 April – Wednesday 9 April from 7.30pm-5.30am
Note that the river will be reopening every morning.
Chandler Highway will be closed between Yarra Boulevard and Heidelberg Road.
Detours will be in place during this time – take a look at the map below for more information. If you’re a local resident, we’ll make sure you and emergency services have continued access.
