Australian Canoeing have released some initial advice regarding the Selection policy and team nominations for the 2015 Australian Canoe Marathon Team. The policies are yet to be formally approved and ratified, however AC have indicated there will be 3 Australian Team tours during 2015. The tours will consist of the Emerging Team to South Africa,the ICF Canoe Marathon Masters World Cup in and the ICF Canoe Marathon World Championshps in Gyor, Hungary.
Australian Canoeing have also released information regarding selection policy changes, including:
- ‘doubling up’ restriction has been removed for 2015
- separate policies for each age group
- additional selection classes of Senior Women C1 and Junior Women C1
- broadening of base for junior selection
- continue selection of a Emerging National Team
- further research and development of a national canoe marathon program
